  • 3 can tuna or Salmon
  • 5 medium-size potatoes, washed thoroughly
  • 2 teaspoons salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons garam masala or curry powder
  • 2 tablespoons black pepper powder
  • 3 Green chillies finely chopped
  • 2 large onion chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • bread crumbs
  • Cooking oil for deep frying


  1. Place unpeeled potatoes in a large saucepan, fill with water, and place over high heat. Bring to a boil; cook until potatoes are soft and tender. Drain, cool, and peel potatoes
  2. Drain the water and remove the bones and set aside the can fish
  3. Heat a large non-stick pan and add a little oil add the chopped onions When it's heated and then add the chopped green chillies as it turns golden brown and stir well
  4. Now add the Salmon or tuna and add black pepper powder, curry powder, Salt and stir well
  5. Cook for a while and then let the mixture cool down
  6. Seperate the white and yellow egg york and tehn mix well the white egg york with fork and keep it a side
  7. Place potatoes in a large bowl and mash with a large fork or potato masher until there are no lumps.then add the mixture and yellow egg york and mix well
  8. Shape mixture into round ball cutlets and dip it in the mixed white egg and then coate each cutlet lightly in bread crumbs, repeat this step
  9. Heat frying oil in a large skillet over medium heat and fry potato cutlets in batches until golden brown on both sides. Between batches, add oil as needed
